The Body Shop's smooth & renew facial loofah pads

I'm not a fan of using most exfoliators on my face because I'm scared to get the little bits in my eyes, so when I saw these little exfoliating pads from The Body Shop, which are specifically made to use on your face, I thought they would be perfect!

They remind me of dried noodles!

One side of the pad is incredibly rough and too scratchy to use on your face but the other side is softer and doesn't feel nearly as rough on the skin. I've been using them with my normal face wash (Garnier pure active) and they lather up with it really well. They expand a little in size the first time you wet them and are a nice size to use on your face.

You get three 'loofahs' for £4 and if you would like to read more about them on the Body Shop's website you can do so by clicking here.

Have you tried these exfoliating pads? What did you think?
Do you have any other favourites I should check out?

  2. It looks really rough, I don't think I could use one, especially as I have sensitive skin. Thanks for the review.

  4. I have quite dry skin so i exfoliate a few times a week, i recently bought their little brush which is meant to be like a mini clarisonic, but i feel its making my skin break out more. So i may try these the next time i'm in The Body Shop, such a good review.

    1. I'm tempted to try some sort of brush face cleaner too but I had the Neutrogena wave and didn't really enjoy using it so it's put me off buying anything else. I think I just prefer using my hands to wash my face..

  5. I like the idea of these little pads to use over my body. Perfect size for travel too.
But I just dont think I could bring myself to use it on my face.... looks too scratchy.

PS - to the comment above... I use the Clarasonic Mia , and I would totally recommend it!

  6. I have always been to scared to use these as they always feel quite rough when feeling them with my hands. The one you got doesn't sound to rough but still think I'm a little too scared to try them :) xx

    1. One side of them is really rough, too rough to use on your face but the other side is smoother and if you're gentle then they're fine :)

    1. I've always been worried about getting them in my eyes and then recently my eye was really irritated for a while and I'm not sure if it was the face wash I was using.. So finding these to use instead was good!

  10. my favorite way to turn a gel cleanser into an exfoliating treatment, they are super rough when dry but after soaking in water they expand and become soft just like pasta? lol please use the smoother side on your face :)
