Lush - Mask of Magnaminty

Okay, to be honest I'm not the biggest fan of Lush but while I was having a nosey round in there recently I spotted this and decided to give it a try. Mask of Magnaminty is a mask for either your face or back which claims to fight against spots and blemishes. I've been using it in the bath now for a few weeks (leaving it on for around 10 minutes) and while I haven't seen much of a difference it feels really nice.

The mask has a herbal and peppermint smell which at first I wasn't too keen on but I've grown to really like the and the peppermint oil has a cooling effect on your skin. Depending on how much and how long you leave it on for, the cooling sensation lasts even after you've rinsed it off. It's very easy to wash off and your skin is left feeling clean and fresh but it definitely takes a few rinses to get it out of your bath!

You can click here to read more about this product on the Lush website and for this 315g pot it costs £8.95. I was a bit disappointed that it expires so quickly though (just over a month after I purchased it) - Do you use your Lush products after they have 'expired'?

    1. I've still been using mine too, I will just be sure to make sure I look next time before I buy anything!

  2. I think the expiry date is a little soon, but with Lush being so natural etc its kind of expected. It gives you a good excuse to treat yourself a little more! x

    1. Yeah that's true since they're natural products, I was just a little miffed when I realised!

  3. I've never used this on my skin, just my face but I love the tingling sensation. Lush products are okish after the date but I wouldn't leave it any more than a week x

  5. I absolutely love this mask! Normally they have a 3 month life, so maybe yours was already a bit old when you bought it? Does it say what day it was made on? I find this mask is good for a few weeks after it "expires". :)

    1. It does have a date on from when it was made and that is around 3/4 months.. I'm nearly done with it now thought so it's not TOO long after it 'expired' :)

  7. I personally find that LUSH products do work for me, as long as I chose the right mask for my skin. I think it's because it's all natural or something, but it won't take effect immediately, usually after a couple of wears I'll notice an improvement.

    1. There's a couple of other products I'd like to try and then maybe I'll see how I feel after that :)

  8. I recently bought this too, however I bought the smaller one! Did you know you can also use this on your feet? After a long hard day, it deodorises them and cools them, feels really great!

    1. With it running out within 2-4 weeks after buying it, I wasn't prepared to waste half of it!

  11. Hello, just came across your blog. I have a hugeeee obsession with lush and am just about to write my post on this exact mask so I will leave your link in my post. If you leave any lush product in the fridge it lasts longer. I keep alll mine in the fridge; cleansers, lotions and masks. Ive been blogging for a while but decided to delete all my old posts and start again :) xx
